Punctuation Mark Game

Sunday, February 24, 2008

I love Marche's ice lemon tea, though the price is a little on the steep side. I used to rave about their rosti too, but the standard seemed to have drop quite a bit after they moved to Vivo City. Oh well. :(

Anyway, Mr. Leong and I played the punctuation mark game yesterday. It all started because of something I said. Here's how.

(As we walked past M)phosis)
Me: Wow M)phosis sale finished le?

I had posed a question and not a statement. Since he thought my sentence ended with a fullstop, as we walked past the shop a second time, he started telling me the sale is still on. When I said I was aware of that, he told me that I had said the sale ended already the first time we walked past the shop. I was like, uh ok whatever, and I told him that I would end my sentences from then on indicating the punctuation marks explicitly.

Like this:

Me: Really ah question mark
Me: I don't know where leh full stop
Me: Huh exclamation mark

You get the drift. :) It was fun during the initial minutes. I got tired soon after, just imagine attaching the punctuation marks in words to all the sentences that escape your mouth! Aiyo, can die lor. I know, we play the silliest games. =P

Right now, I am missing the $1.99 salmon sushi on Sakae's conveyor belt lah. I ate close to 10 plates on Friday lor, yeah only meal for the day again so it's money well-spent.

Anyway, schoolwork is piling up lah. Sian.
