Redwan Ali - Would You be There Thursday, May 31, 2007 Sunday, May 27, 2007 I had donuts from Donut Factory for breakfast and yes, he joined the queue yesterday, I cut it after work. =/ You would be surprise how carrying the donuts would invite comments from onlookers. The envies in their eyes justified the time spent queueing for the donuts. Oops..The Soup Spoon for lunch, the Velvety Mushroom Stroganoff was relishing. Yum. Then to TCC for a drink, and Mr Leong fell asleep on the comfy couch. Mr Leong loves to read I can go on with what he loves to do, but you know, I can virtually feel his glare on me now. Hmm. Pirates of the Carribean was pretty good, 3 hours long though. I was squirming in my seat the whole time and I don't understand why the Chinese Pirate Sao Feng (Chow Yun-Fat) had so few scenes. I have some serious things to think about today. Friday, May 25, 2007 Ok, I have like 300+ mail in my NUS WebMail, with 30 over unread. *sweat* They should just stop the spam, really. The Economists are finally back from Taiwan. I think I'll join them on their next trip, wherever that is. They got me a bag as souvenir. We had Pastamania and then went to The Mind Cafe for some games. Seeing them yesterday was just like a prelude to the release of the examination results today. Wednesday, May 23, 2007 Mingyan suggested a get together with Haoling and me, so students from the 3 top universities in Singapore finally sat down for a nice chit-chat session on Sunday. It's been awhile since I last saw them, a good feeling definitely! :D By the way, I got a tamagotchi! It comes in a capsule toy for $2! I know I am abit late but I'm just diving for it because it's cheap entertainment. I would prefer a PSP though. =/ Sadly, my pet dog never reaches 1 year old because it will just end its life in the afternoons when I'm not at home to feed it and stuff. Ohh..:( Old aunties these days should really catch up with times. Just today, one from my workplace came to me and began introducing her son to me, telling me how great he is, spelling his name for me etc etc. Saturday, May 19, 2007 A very good friend of mine turned 22nd today. The birthday celebration was marked by a visit to The Mind Cafe. I so totally love Taboo and Guessture. =) The most 经典 description for Taboo, if anyone of you missed it, was posted by Jiahui.Jiahui: What's the signature Wanlin gets Zaizai to do called?(Answer: autograph) I thought that was a pretty good one. :) It was a double-edged sword, since our team scored one point with me furnishing the answer, and we got to suan Wanlin at the same time. Whee! =P It is almost natural to hear this genre of teases on Wanlin already, 想当年 F4 was such a big hit ok! Even now when we go KTV, we must sing 流星雨 in search of those memories. Hmm hmm...Taboo ended with 35-33, my team in the lead. Woo! Sadly, no forfeit. ![]() Dinner was at a shop along an alley near Bugis, it was so cheap and delicious! ![]() A very thought provoking question to soccer fanatics: Who will embrace the FA cup tonight? ![]() The FA.com says it's Man Utd. I casted a vote for Chelsea leh. I'm following England's admonition. In 1948, Winston Churchill observed that for 400 years the foreign policy of England has been to oppose the strongest, most aggressive, most dominating power on the continent, in joining the weaker states. There, perfect piece. =) ![]() My personal broadcaster, Mr Darrell Leong, just sent me an sms - no goals yet. I'm crossing my fingers and toes that Man Utd will win, because he betted that and he owes me $! If Man Utd loses, a house in the East will probably find a pig's head and the words "Owe I am a ruthless loanshark. Roar! =/ Friday, May 18, 2007 I am currently prescribing myself some brainfood, and thanks to the library head in the family I got to lay my hands on Freakonomics. I started abit of it, not the most interesting book but I am quite sure it will be a good read, and this time I will definitely reach the end. Afterall, it's rather shameful for an Economics major to not have read Freakonomics. =/You know everytime I use the shredder in office, the aftermath thoughts that follows really aren't all that pleasant? It's always the same old story, that of my hand being caught in the shredding process and I will lose all my fingers. =( Ouch, so scary... I think I am getting a tad neurotic, not just with regards to the shredder, but with everything else that has happened, that is happening or that is about to happen. Wednesday, May 16, 2007 FM 933 played this and the song just keeps repeating itself in my mind thereafter. Bask in the manifested sadness with me!I had 2 of my favourites. Gelare after dinner yesterday and Subway for lunch today. I'm officially over-nourished, but I'm happy. :D I want to continue being happy. Sunday, May 13, 2007 24 hours is clearly not enough for me. It's bizarre, but I think I am busier now than during term time. Yesterday was ultimate. Mr Leong and I decided to join the mad queue enterprise by The Donut Factory at Raffles City. We never had any donuts in the end though. Hours later, just as we were nearing the shop face, my frustration and impatience got the better of me. I put up a fuss and he had no choice but to leave the queue. The consolation was we could take our time to enjoy Fish & Co for dinner. =)I admit there is a tinge of regret, and it's not like I haven't eaten the donuts before. I have. It's just the cool-headedness that I feel is lacking in me. I can be so impulsive, acting on the spur of the moment and then regret later. Good thing I can always join the queue another day, unlike a certain irreversible decision that I will have to ponder over very soon. ![]() 1 At the start of the queue. 2 The Donut Factory. 3 At Fish & Co. 4 All thirsty. 5 He looks like he hasn't eaten in days. 6 Seasoning himself for me! 7 My turn to pose! 8 Seafood platter *drool* 9 LOVE. I am looking forward to the family dinner later to celebrate Mother's Day. I got my mummy a little gift, and the moment I gave it to her, my brother asked my sister, "Woah! Then we all how?" I thought that was pretty impromptu and funny. :D Oh yes, the gift, as well as its price, is between the shopowner, Mr Leong, me and my family, to protect my image. =/ Hahaha. The weekend is going to be over. Another grueling round of weekdays before the next weekend arrives. *stifles a yawn* Monday, May 07, 2007 Even after 6 semesters, I can't actually convince myself I am any good in Economics. Seriously, how Econometricians can come up with weird names like White Noise and Random Walk in Econometrics is quite beyond me. I would rather go and sleep if I were them. -_- Right now. I feel like a tortoise with its head swallowed in its shell, afraid to face the world and the road that lies ahead. I hope whatever that comes will have me conclude my life, at least up till this point in time, in a rhapsody.Yesterday came and went where we sang our blues away at Kbox, Suntec. It almost seems like a must have event for us girls already, and I'm glad for that. :) ![]() We took a truckload of shots. I think I will never get tired of them because... ![]() ...together, we shine!
