August Babies

Sunday, August 19, 2007

2 more birthday celebrations this month, for Winnie and Tze Shia. Presents were plenty, but I was happy for the catchup over lunch and the little shopping after that.

School tomorrow, but I feel so dead.

First Day of School

Monday, August 13, 2007

There's this weird guy at the busstop near my house this morning. I was getting rather frustrated from waiting so long for my bus, and he kept prancing back and forth right in front of me, which got on my nerves more, so I shifted my position to avoid him, and gave him my fiercest stare before I finally boarded my bus. -_-

The first lecture of the semester (and my only lecture for the day) was being cancelled, and someone from the class have to make a call to the Economics Department 15 minutes into the lecture to find out that. What a start. I don't know where my school fees went to. Seriously leh.

A mystery. Someone/something rang my doorbell at 0430 hours this morning. It wasn't a dream/nightmare, for my mummy heard it too, and we can't possibly be in the same dream/nightmare, so now we are left wondering who/what did it. Coincidentally, today marks the start of the ghost month. Hmm...

Rehearsal

Saturday, August 11, 2007

This weekend is like a closing to my holidays. It came and went like that.

I would say Secret is the best movie I watched this year, it's so nice! I shall not disclose my Jay's secret, all I can say is it was money well-spent. =) Much to my disarray, after the show, there was 1 more unanticipated secret! Yes, it's about Mr Leong and my discovery of his first *censored*. It's unethical to spill the beans. =/ Lalala.

On a semi-related note, I got the feel of being in lectures while I was in the theatre. 3 things were starkly different though:
1. The seats were cushioned and more comfortable.
2. I enjoyed what I was doing.
3. My brain didn't had to process much information. Letting it go idle felt good.

On a totally unrelated note, I learnt balancing a tray with food on it, all ready to tackle The Deck and my few favourite stalls. One good thing about this semester is the good food, definitely.

As can be seen, I am getting myself ready (in a away -_-) for school, which explains the title, and the message I am trying to bring across through this post.

I'm not sure if I managed to convince you, because at this moment, I am still trying to come to terms with the cold hard facts. Oh man.

Fantastic Five

Thursday, August 09, 2007

We had Breeks, shopped around awhile then went to Starbucks to chill. It was the usual heartwarming kind of gathering which I adore. =)

The 3 of us manage to look the same in the first two photos, except Wanlin. We can probably enter these 2 photos for some "Spot the Difference" competition already. Haha.

Some Fun Facts:
1. Mingen was my very first friend in Temasek! I have known her for 9 years already! *gasp*
2. Yongqi supposedly thought some girl dressed in pinafore was Wanlin during Secondary 1, but the assumption was negated. Now Yongqi is mystified over who that girl was. =/
3. Jiahui admitted to "switching off " during History lessons, while Wanlin is ever puzzled over why I always do better than her for History. (It's because I don't fall asleep lah!)

School is starting in 2 days' time. -_-

A Saturday I Like

Saturday, August 04, 2007

Phew, I just got home not too long ago from dinner at 85 Feng Shan Centre. We ordered barbeque stingray, sotong, chicken wings and rojak. Lime juice to wash down the food too. The stingray and sotong were ordered from a not so nice stall so they weren't really tasty. We realised the mistake only after we placed the order. -_- Never mind, there's always a next time. As we were leaving, I saw the Bak Chor Mee stall and now I am craving for that.

Sometimes, I think my father is really funny.
Him: Woah, the chicken wing seller so smart, I had to pay him before the food is being served.
Me: This is to ensure you won't run away lah. So how much does one cost?
Him: $1.20...
Me: (cuts in) So expensive?!
Him: Let me finish my sentence. Initially it was $1.20, but the seller see I so yandao then he give me discount, so $1 lor.
Me: *speechless*

I online shopped again, blew away $50. Some back to school shopping really though I think I never seem to reach a concentration point. Of course, some offline shopping to complement the online one as well. I know, my spending habit is just plain disgusting.

Pokka has this new promeganate drink in the market and they were giving samples along Orchard Road. Mr Leong was like so excited and he willingly became one of their samplers. That boy is just so cute. =)

Oh yes, I am done with bidding, at least as far as this semester is concerned. Bidding was pretty smooth, but at this point in time, I think I will only enjoy one of my modules. I want to be proven wrong. =/

Indecisiveness

Thursday, August 02, 2007

I need to know which module to bid for tomorrow. Everytime I think I have an answer, the bubble burst right in my face.

May I decide soon.

This is so frustrating.

Bidding

Wednesday, August 01, 2007

This semester, I don't think I am going to whine about CORS and the NUS bidding system. I see a change in me. For past semesters, I would stay up in anticipation of the bidding result, like a kan cheong spider. Yesterday, I actually went to sleep at 10 pm! It could be due to the fatigue from work, or that I was out till 9 pm, but the main point is, I nonchalantly adopted the boh hue attitude.

Oh yes, I got all the modules I want.

Being laid back is good. :)

I will have to participate in tomorrow's bidding round. I am still in the midst of choosing between 2 modules leh. -_-

Let me not worry.
