Of the 3 public holidays designated for Chinese New Year, today is the worse. My parents are out visiting, with my sister in tow. My best enemy just left home for dinner with his friends/gf and me? I just came home with a $10 ang bao in the late afternoon and because mummy dearest said I have to settle my own dinner, I had maggie mee. The ploy here, in case you don't realise, is to make them feel bad for abandoning me at home. -_- Oh yes, my brother is my best enemy because he asked me whether I wanted any food before he left the house. Sibling love leh.

Economists like to use GDP to gauge economic growth. I have devised a new way, ie, to use ABC (Ang Bao Count). Under this measure, you have to take the total amount of money you receive for the whole period of Chinese New Year divided by the total number of ang baos you get. If the number that appears before your eyes is > 15, then congratulations! It shows that the economy is rosy! I thought about this the whole of my new year ok!

As you can see, I was pretty bored throughout the visitations. =( Is it me or that in general, as one grows older, this very occasion gets less exciting, more mundane and less appealing? I have spent all the time in the world on the sofas of all the houses I visited thinking about how to get out of doing visitations in the near future, be it on the pretext of work, holiday abroad, breaking my leg, anything, as long as I don't have to do visitations. It's so tiring to pretend to be so interested in the television programme, say "Thank you" when I receive angbaos, make conversations with people I see annually, fail to reject offers of shandy and red wine etc. I think you get my point.

Even though this week is supposedly NUS free, I am going back to school tomorrow. I'm pretty excited because I am going to run regression analysis on a statistical software called EViews in preparation for my presentation next week! =) I am seldom so excited about a module ok! That will be promptly followed by a project discussion. As usual, 1/2 the week is gone already and time is running out.

Coincidence, and not fate. It was the same time, the same train, but different stops that we alighted. You are right, I say it best when I say nothing at all. I hope one day, I can look you in the eye and thank you for allowing me the life I am leading now.

To my dearest MM, I am sorry for today. I promise to be good and not make you angry (so soon =X) ok?
